We could not be more thankful for Doug Barnes during the busy summer selling market that involved many complicated external factors while listing our first house in Macon. Doug met with us months in advance, and listened to our specific needs and timelines, and complicated schedules prior to a military move overseas. He was pivotal in creating an aggressive (but focused) marketing plan. Doug crafted a comprehensive strategy to list, market, and effectively sell our home for the correct price and knowing what the market was also dictating based on his experience. He was also always customer focused, and accessible whenever we had questions and concerns--even working around our crazy work/travel schedules and across multiple time zones to deliver us pivotal news/concerns. He was even more pivotal in managing multiple offers, even closing our deal amid multiple buyer concerns that could have deterred other agents and had the deal fall through. He even negotiated a common ground for repairs before our sales deal was about to fall through at the final minute! While looking for a house for a relative, we met Douglas. It was impressive because the value of the house wasn't high, but he was willing to show at 8pm. He also took them to another house after. A few weeks later, we needed to find a house for ourselves and changed realtors because of the interaction we had with Douglas just prior. From the start, he was available the following morning. We quickly moved on the house and were able to secure it for well under the listing price. There were a few repairs which Douglas took the lead and were addressed with no concern. We closed within the month. He also has a wealth of connections to make this process easy. When we needed to move before the deal was complete, Doug was our eyes and ears on the ground, meeting with vendors, looking after our property, and keeping us informed. About Douglas Barnes
A Texas native, Douglas Barnes spent his childhood in Florida and returned to Texas for college at Baylor University. He served in the US Air Force active duty for 8 years and was afforded opportunities to travel throughout the country and world as an analyst and crew member on various platforms. Douglas and his wife were assigned to Robins AFB and moved to Macon from Las Vegas in 2013. His Air Force experiences showed him how special Macon is, thus his family decided to put down roots here joining the USAF Reserves, obtaining his real estate license, and graduating from University of Georgia.
